Renewable Energy: StateWise Energy will purchase and retire, on Your behalf, an amount of renewable energy credits (RECs) sourced from wind and/or solar generators within the United States in an amount equal to 100% of Your usage during the term of Your Agreement. StateWise Energy may or may not pair any RECs from generators sited in the State of Illinois, but StateWise Energy has not committed to any particular locations of generators at the time of this Agreement.
StateWise Energy will purchase and retire, on Your behalf, an amount of renewable energy certificates sourced from generators within the United States (“RECs”) in an amount equal to 100% of Your usage, inclusive of the mandatory renewable portfolio standard requirements for the state in which You are located, during the term of this Agreement.
The renewable energy is provided to You for Your use only and will not make You eligible for any tax credits or other third-party subsidies. Regardless of any Illinois RPS obligations, SFE pairs 100% of electricity usage with RECs, inclusive of any RPS requirements.
